Autumn brings with it warm days and cold nights, an in between season like Spring means the opportunity for layering and soft colours. Warmer colours, earthy tones, and a return to easy style simplicity are just some of the things I love about this season!

My favourite picks for Autumn 2020: Fashion

What’s good right now!? I’ve scoured the internet for the best of New Zealand’s online shopping for Autumn. Dressing for the new season is also preparing your wardrobe for winter, and my favourite picks include comfy staples that will take me through winter into spring 2020. I like to choose pieces that I know I will get a lot of wear out of, and that I can easily mix and match with everything I already have. Black and white are often my go to, as I can pair them with pops of colour, but statement pieces that also feel amazing are also a favourite of mine, as they can be difficult and rare to find!

RUBY | Otto Turtleneck

This turtleneck is a dream! Available for $299 in two other colours, khaki and hazel there’s a shade you’ll love. It’s a blend of gorgeous goat mohair, wool, and a little elastane to give it ultimate warmth, but also that little bit of stretch for when you’re layering or wearing it with just a tee underneath. Personally I adore the ‘lipstick pink’ and the combination of a chunky knit, magyar style combined with the simplicity of it and vibrant colour is just the thing for lazy autumn days. KILT | Skye Dress

Simplicity is elegance, and this dress will take you through autumn, to spring and summer. It comes in four different shades and for $159.99 it’s a timeless piece. I love the plain black, and the shade ‘pink blossom’ which is easy to style with other black or white accessories in your wardrobe. I would wear this dress with stockings, without stockings, with heels or flats, even boots! The options are endless. Flattering design with frill sleeves, a v-neck for women with a larger bust, and a tie waist perfect for hourglass figures. Beautiful!

Forever New | Elissa Blouson Wool Jumper

The moment I saw this jumper in store I fell in love with it, the beautiful soft wool fabric and bell sleeves make it super comfortable and utterly chic. The simple crew neckline with stretch detailing and tuckable hem makes it a piece I can work in with all my pants, skirts, and even over tunics and dresses. The white is a gentle pearl white that is flattering on most complexions, not too stark and not yellow. The perfect shade, the perfect fabric and a must have elegant wardrobe Autumn staple.

Burgundy is a shade that will take you through seasons, and in terms of shoes it’s one of the few colours I can never have enough of! Love Winter | Opal Dot Ring

Reminiscent of moonstone, this opal dot ring is aesthetic and adorable. I can’t get enough of cute tiny rings to match with my Karen Walker collection and this one is perfect! I love how the opal exudes a number of colours, making it easy to work in with any outfit. I’m a bit of a fan of the witchy boho vibe so this piece is a very comfortable $45 making it a great buy on my autumn wishlist.

Ah, old friend the frizz. I have fine hair that has a tendency to frizz in even the slightest amount of humidity. Whether its for photoshoots, or going out I can’t stand the frizz! Doubling as an eyebrow gel, this smooth hair wand is high up on my autumn wishlist as it’s an all round saviour. Mellow | Liquid Lip Paint in London

A anew product I can’t wait to try, it promises a velvet matter and high pigmented finish. Mellow has a great reputation for being one of New Zealand’s most high quality and desirable makeup brands so you know this new product will be great. I chose this shade in ‘London’ because I love deep pinks, they’re difficult to make a bad choice with and are generally very flattering if you have a cool skin tone like me. Available in a variety of shades from soft nudes to rich reds, it’s also 100% vegan for $18.00 USD!

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder | Transparent

A practical beauty item for the changeable weather, to fight the appearance of larger pores and dry skin. This one is on my wishlist for Autumn and will be fantastic for winter too. A smooth finish is essential for any makeup look and so far, I haven’t yet invested in a finishing product I love! So this little pretty is last but certainly not least on my wishlist.
