There is always so much to do in summer, so many amazing fashion choices available and so many cute looks to try! This summer I share with you my favourites of the season in reflection, the fashion, accessories, and makeup I loved the most and how to style it! Summer Favourites | Fashion
I have so many favourite pieces every summer, it’s the season of fun, golden afternoons, lazy days and cute dresses! These are my favourite six outfits sourced locally for a variety of occasions.
The Affinity Luxury Basics Tee and Overalls: An absolute must have, the Affinity Basics pieces are a necessity all year round with their uber comfy, beautiful fabrics and construction. I was gifted this piece, and was amazed at how it really is the most comfortable t-shirt I have ever owned. I have covered a full review and showcase on this fantastic tee, photographed locally at Morris and James Pottery here. {aired with overalls though, it is a cute, and practical look for weekend crafts and getting stuff done in comfort!
The Tanya Carlson Velvet Dress: I have always loved velvet, but this dress takes the cake! Not only is it a gorgeous deep navy shade for a sleek evening look, but it has a glittery weave which sparkles in the light! I thrifted this piece from my local hospice, and it’s a definite favourite from a local designer.
Capriosca Swimwear Two Piece Set: This particular vintage swimsuit set is my absolute favourite from this fabulous local swim label. I have featured Capriosca swimwear in a previous post with my first gifted swimsuit from them, and I couldn’t stop raving about it! Their pieces are designed for women with both aesthetic and comfort in mind. I have never felt as secure and pretty in my swimsuit as I have in my Capriosca pieces!
White Wrap Top & Maxi Skirt: These cotton staples were also thrifted, and being cotton they are a must have for summer. I believe everyone needs some pretty cotton pieces in tour wardrobe for summer, as they are breathable, comfortable and cute! I loved styling this outfit various ways, the wrap tie top is super flattering and skirt is easy to mix and match with the rest of my closet!
Forever New Dress: This floral print summer dress is utterly elegant. The moment I saw it I fell in love, it’s the perfect special occasion dress that flatters the bust and hips, and is long enough to feel chic in while still providing shape around your waist. It’s also lined so it’s practical too! Floaty and dreamy, this is one of my favourite summer outfits.
Boohoo Navy Cocktail Dress: This dress is stunning when worn, it has a plunging neckline and a full skirt perfect for dancing the night away. It’s the essential summer wedding guest dress, or for any cocktail party. Navy is the new black, and this piece is coming to the blog soon ♡

Summer Favourites | Accessories
Timeless pieces that I can mix and match into my wardrobe is my mantra in life… I love accessories that are simple enough they can easily be styled with many of my favourite outfits. I prefer silver with my skin tone, and also white! It’s a chic touch to any outfit. This season’s favourites include these gorgeous acorn drop earrings from Karen Walker, these cute glitter resin stars from Daiso Japan, delicate white watch and crossbody bag from Kmart, heels from Hannahs, and crystal hair clips from Colette. This clips are a pretty variation on the pearl clips, the latest trend. These are a great way to make it your own!

These heels from Hannahs have been my go-to all season. The wrap straps around the ankles are super flattering, and with a chunky heel they are relatively comfortable to walk in. Novo Shoes also has some similar pairs! The crossbody bag from Kmart comes in a variety of colours, including navy, red, yellow, and black. Next on my wishlist will be the matching acorn necklace from Karen Walker!

Summer Favourites | Beauty
These products are my favourite beauty picks of summer, and will have you pretty much covered for basics! I love and have always loved, this moisturiser from Neutrogena. It’s super light weight and not greasy, is absorbed really quickly and my skin loves it! I have combination skin so it’s perfect for me. The chapstick is from Maybelline, and this is a clear product which is great for summer. Beauty Tip: I also use under my eyes to prevent makeup creasing! Rimmel has a range of products I love, recently I have been using their brow pencil frequently, along with the ‘Magnif’eyes’ palette, and a wide variety of colours from their ‘Stay Matte’ range. Finally, my Thin Lizzy Beauty concealer has the best coverage of all the products I have tried, and so you only need a tiny amount each time! Magic.
