The perfect treat, made with love…

I am always on the lookout for amazing food places, and much of the time is spent being an amateur food critic. The best food starts with quality ingredients, a lovely atmosphere and a great variety on the menu. So when I was shown ‘Moustache Milk & Cookie Bar’ by a friend of mine I realised I had to share this goodness along with a little bit of the story behind these sweet treats made with love…

These images were captured at the original store which has now relocated! Moustache Cookie and Milkshake Bar has moved their flagship store from Karangahape Road in central Auckland, to 228 Orakei Road, Remuera, Auckland. It’s now even easier to get your fix!

I ordered a "Cookies and Cream" milkshake, pictured above, with the classic 'Choc Chunk' Cookie. The staff at Moustache heat it a little in the microwave so it's warm and soft and delicious! On the right above, are cookies freshly baked in various flavours. You can eat in or takeaway, and they are often open late into the evening for a dessert treat!

Cookie flavours include: Oreo + Marshmellow, Peanut Butter, Nutella, Black Forest, Cinnamon Donut, Snickers and even special limited edition cookies. In colder months they were offering a savoury cookie with cheese and spaghetti - just as delicious! My personal favourites are the Choc Chunk, and the Black Forest Cookies... A little hint though, buy on to have there and one for later - you won't regret it.

Their cookies are all handmade on site, and if you're around at the right times like we were, you can even get to watch the cookie making and baking in progress! Their cookies are weighed per each one, to make sure you are always getting your fair share of deliciousness. Then they are decorated and baked accordingly. Moustache is also a quality brand that invest in their products, they use cage free eggs and NZ butter with a preference for Whittaker's Chocolate. I like that they are thinking of bigger things than just how their cookies taste, and I'll definitely be back for more!

Moustache is situated amongst a small group of a few other new eateries so you could even make it a dinner date. Or, you could just have chocolate for dinner and that wouldn't be so bad either. Make sure to head in and check it out.
