K-Beauty | A Makeup Tutorial

The Rise of K-Beauty…
Korean culture has always inspired me, I enjoy seeing the fashion, style and beauty trends coming from all over the world and Korean beauty is no exception. The emphasis on natural beauty over artificially over glamorised aesthetic is one of the main elements that I hoped to capture in this photoshoot featuring the exquisite Rom&nd Lipcolours kindly gifted to me by Habon Global. Today I show you the details and breakdown of my recent Makeup Monday look, a K Beauty Tutorial!

Korean Beauty | The Makeup Tutorial
I was inspired by the major trends in Korean makeup, fashion and beauty especially the spotlight on more natural beauty looks, enhancing your features and a fresher approach to makeup. The lipcolours reflect this growing trend, as they are perfect to apply softly on the lips giving a blurred lip line rather than a hard edge. This look is subtle and very flattering! To do this, apply the lipcolour with your fingertips rather than directly onto your lips, and blend outwards. I used two colours for this look, a darker one in the centre and a more vibrant shade on the outer lips to create more dimension.

Korean Beauty | The Photoshoot
I was inspired by the beautifully photographed sets captured with the K-Pop band Blackpink and the use of loose, crisp white shirt in a studio setting. I opted for a natural light setup for softness and used a deep red coloured backdrop behind me to accentuate the vibrancy of this look. I love the results and for more BTS head over to my isntagram to check out my stories for all the fun!
